Caring Shepherd HHC Agency
Caring Shepherd HHC Agency is a family-owned, Medicare-accredited multistate agency that provides home health and home care services in New York (LI-NYC) and Florida (SWFL). We offer skilled and non-skilled services to provide yourself or your loved ones with short-term or long-term services so you can enjoy a life without limits.
Our mission is to improve our patients’ quality of life and their families physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually through our skilled and non-skilled services.
Our Story
Our story began when our company founder, Michele Eliassaint, was working in the health care industry.
Being an immigrant who was interested in healthcare, Michele worked as a home health aide while in nursing school. After earning her nursing degree, she left the field to work in the hospital. While working there, she felt that something was missing. When she was an aide, she made relationships with the patients and their families. It was as if she was a long-lost family member! But at the hospital, she never knew what happened to the patient after their stay.
This continued to bother her year after year until Michele had the idea to return to home health with a different position: Founder and CEO.
In 2016, the first Caring Shepherd HHC Agency started in New York. With Michele’s hospital experience and mission of providing compassionate care, the business managed to serve families across Long Island and the five boroughs. In October 2024, after several hard years of work, she decided to expand the company to an area that also is in need of compassionate care: Southwest Florida.

Patient Rights
Patients have a voice in their treatments. We understand that patients with different backgrounds may prefer or refuse certain forms of treatments due to cultural, religious, or political beliefs. We are more than happy to work with our patients to find appropriate alternatives to meet their needs.
Serving Others
The best leaders are those who serve! Our leadership has over 40 years of volunteering experience. Volunteerism is at the core of our hiring process as it allows us to hire those who’ve proven they care about our patients and their families, rather than quickly finishing a shift.
Holistic Healthcare
Instead of focusing on the symptoms, we go beyond by looking at the patient and their environment as a whole. Treating symptoms doesn’t only tackle the issue.
